You are obsessed with your Valentine's day dress and it's all you want to wear. You do look adorable in it however so it's very justified. Winter is still dragging on and it's coming closer to the end which will be fantastic for us going outside again. You are so damn smart and helpful as we approach your 4th birthday. 

Today you called me a chicken nugget. It was adorable. Your insults are delived with such passion and belief.  You make me so proud 

So it's been a minute. Your tooth is great. Still broke, but no long term damage. You are growing like a damn weed. You are almost fully potty trained and we ordered your big kid bed 

Today you fell and busted your face at hobby lobby.  You chipped your tooth. A large man tried to give me advice. I almost hit him. A nice lady worked for a dentist saw you fall. She called her boss and we sent him a photo. He said you would be fine. We iced it and then took you for ice cream. You were fine 20 mins later. You are tough as nails. Mommy had a melt down.  You told us you wanted to go to the ice cream with the front porch. You said you like those people. We got you a side dish of sprinkles and you ate them like a bowl of crack. 

The other day your mom got scared by a duck. We didnt notice the duck and it quacked at your mom. She jumped about 10 feet in the air. We told you about that story. Your fantastical little brain took this story to heart. You roasted you mom about the duck today.  You were an emotional basket case today. Every thing upset you today. We hit up 2 playgrounds and you were not happy. But at home you were a happy little girl. You helped me sweep the back yard by knocking over all my piles saying that I have to share my dirt.   The best part is when you said. I can do things I'm Madigan Holleran.   Never lose that confidence

So today we went to target and bought you a bunch of clothes. Mainly new shorts. You decided to put on 5 pairs of shorts today. You told us that quote "I feel incredible mommy" 

Today was a shitty for dear old dad. You me your mother and Endy went on a family walk. The stupid neighbours pit bull got out and attacked ender. I was able to keep him safe but you and your mom were very scared. I was pretty upset. I would have had to hurt that dog if his own didn't come and get him.  You were pretty upset and I hope you don't remember this when you are older. Hence why I'm writing this for you in the future.  Ender was pretty shook up but he will be ok.  I took you out to target and ice cream to make it up for you.  The good part of this day was the morning when I wrote a note for you and your mom before I left for work I drew a bear on it for you and you were enamored with it. Mom said you took it to daycare to show your teachers. 

You are getting better at using the potty. You told your mom to get out of my face yesterday.  You yelled at your mom for using a hair clip. You told her they were just for you. You cried 6 times yesterday for almost no real reason.   Also today you came into the living room, bare assed. You shook your butt, pointed, and proudly told your mother that you have no poop in there. 

From mom: "Just stay what happened. I walk in there and her pillows on the floor. Her blankets are on the floor, all of her friends from her bed around the floor and then she's standing there and her pull up. But I asked her what happened and she told me that she wanted to look at the sprinkles on her bed sheet and it didn't explain why her clothes are off. She's standing there in a pull up."

Sunday morning cuddles in bed with family you narced on your old day care teacher for letting you watch cocomelon. (its a terrible children's show that we didn't let you watch)  You spent a good ten minutes being rude to ender. Getring quite upset that his tail was wagging. Telling him to stop it and don't do that anymore.  I kept stealing your bluey water bottle. Ender and I smelled it. You got very mad.  Procecced to pout. You love to pout currently. 

Recently you told your mother on the ride to school that you didnt want any more dumb people coming to your house.  We are still trying to figure out which of our friends you think are dumb. 

So it's the 4th day of you having a virus.  Your mom does not handle you being sick very well at all. You stayed at your grandmother's house today and your mom wanted to strangle her as per usual. You looked so sad when I picked you up. You were mainly tired and ended up going to be early only eating a few bites of your dinner.  Your mom spent the past few nights sleeping on the floor in your room to attend to your every cry.  She really loves you, more than anything honestly. So she went to bed early too. I'm on the night duty this go. At 11pm you woke up and wanted food. I fed you a slice of cheese in bed and then made you a pancake. We sat on the couch while I fed you and we watched the movie Kiki's delivery service. I hate when youre sick.

      So this evening Madi decided to get mad when i sang songs to her making fun of how she was going to get out of bed often. I freestyled lyrics to the tune of itty bitty spider. She got pissed.  After breaking free of my clutches, she informed momma that "daddy is too warm" Krissy died laughing at this. 

My silly child, today we experienced more of the lash drama that is your life. Throwing yourself on the floor when you don't get your way, demanding the opposite parent always hold you and refusing to eat or sleep without bribery. Fantastic stuff Mind you.  We went to the cider mill in the morning which was a longer than expected trip. Got you your "do do's" however. We were all getting over a cold that you graciously brought home from day care. Thanks for that my love.  You wore a cute bills outfit and watched Josh Allen come back at the half from 3 and 20. Go Bills.  You are a little schemer at this point. Trying every excuse to not go to bed.  You take after your dad.  Love you Mads 

So 10 days ago I bought a rowing machine. Five  days ago I started using it. The first 4 days was just building up the rythmn and the muscle memory. Today was an actual workout. I made it three quarters of a mile in 13 minutes. Could feel my pluse in my neck. Hard. Which is the entire reason I have purchased a rowing machine. Actual sweat today. Felt great. Ungodly stank radiating from my armpits but has to be expected. I haven't actually worked out in years besides, I'm the one that does the painting in the house. So when the stench strips the paint it's only myself to blame and myself to fix.  I intend to row every single day at least until the Viking bus and then if I accomplish that goal will extend it to the end of the year. I already do my duolingo everyday and I've already crested over 200 days of continuously trying to learn German. Granted my German his mediocre at best and I certainly can't conversate but if abandoned at a restaurant I wouldn't starve....

I really miss teenage angst "Oh the misery.  Everybody wants to be my enemy. Spare the sympathy Everybody wants to be my enemy." Angst is a great creative force. It takes a substantial effort to make your problems way bigger than they are.   Sigh, I wish I had more time in the day. I would love to really channel some deep creativity and do something spectacular. 

So much for blogging every day. Life gets in the way haha. We got hit with a good amount of snow today. Krissy had a day off and is off tomorrow too. Madi got to stay home with mama. Meanwhile I worked 10 hours then came home and snowblowed for an hour.  Hit a 21 day streak on Duolingo German today which is sweet. Pretty confident in actually learning german from this.  New stove and dishwasher come tomorrow. Krissy will be home so now I don't have to skip out on work. Hopefully she doesn't have an anxiety attack over looking for damages on the stuff. 

Today was pretty low key. Made clay impressions of Madi's feet. Watched the Bills win and get to the playoffs. Had pizza for dinner. Pretty decent calm before the storm that will be the first week of work in January.  Lots of friends have the covid. Which is expected at this point and time. Still here just rocking shorts in winter and not giving a fuck. New York banned styrofoam officially today too. So a bunch of restaurants are gonna have to increase prices. Real good timing NYS. I mean it needs to be done but I could have waited seeing how bad restaurants are getting fucked right now.  16 days strong at learning German too. One day at a time baby. 

It's a gloomy Jan first. Lots of friends were sick, covid and flu so it was a pretty bland new years. We didn't even make it to midnight for the ball drop. Not even mad. Brendon and his squad came by for a bit. Chicken fingers and dil dip. Tradition.  Madi stayed up a bit late but she still ended up waking up in the middle of the night needing to be coddled and soothed back to sleep. Such is life. Molars are a hell of a drug.  A low key evening is ahead of us tonight. Madi has been super needy just like her mama
